'Floating World' by ANO Studio from the Exhibition 'Aka Shiro Ao' at Cloud Gallery in Amsterdam. These pieces stem from the idea of a tokonoma—"a recessed space in a Japanese-style reception room in which items for artistic appreciation are displayed." 
 
Each artwork in this series offer a glimpse into the magical push and pull I experience from Japan. The juxtaposition of looking in, skimming the surface yet always remaining an outsider.
