Designed in Amsterdam
Inspired by Japan

ANO Studio is a design studio and online shop based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, specializing in art prints and illustration with a Japanese aesthetic. The studio is run by me, Hannah, a real Japan lover.

So 'ano' what does it actually mean? Ano あの is a Japanese word that can be used as a space filler in conversations, similar to saying "umm." It's a great way to fill up conversation when you are a bit shy or hesitant like I sometimes am! So I let my art do the talking for me.

All my prints are produced and printed locally in The Netherlands using recycled FSC certified paper.

Always thinking about Japan!
