Machizukuri
In Japanese machizukuri literally means 'town planning' but it is often associated with a soft way of planning. Involving local residents and governments working together to make the place they live and work more livable. To me it reminds me of the mishmash of businesses, residential areas, powerlines, people's little front yards, all harmoniously coming together in big urban cities across Japan.
